New York City, Tuesday

I stopped in for a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast on Tuesday at my neighborhood deli. Then I took the subway to make a quick stop at the Swatch store in SoHo to get my watch strap fixed.

I continued on the subway to Wall Street. The New York Stock Exchange did not have tours open to the public any more.

I walked down to Battery Park and then I left on the Staten Island Ferry. It's free! The view was great! We could see the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, Hoboken, New Jersey, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

When I got back from Staten Island, I walked up to the site where the World Trade Center used to be. You used to have to get tickets (for free) to walk up to the viewing area, but the day I was there you could just walk right up.

I walked down Maiden Lane to the DeskNet office. They are only about four blocks from Ground Zero.
