I started Thanksgiving Day with a Star Trek marathon (on Blu Ray since I’d already passed my Internet data limit and there’s a week to go in the month) on Thursday, November 23rd. I made Pumpkin Mousse for dessert first because it needed time to set. I chopped up vegetables (but forgot the potatoes which was needed) and removed my brined chicken from the fridge. I used my METER smart thermometer to bake Pati Jinich’s Mexican-inspired turkey recipe with a whole chicken. It needed about 90 minutes and I could no longer read the screen on the oven so this was the last bake ever. I prepared a twist on another Pati Jinich recipe for Chorizo Cornbread Stuffing and had a gorgeous meal with the cornbread from yesterday. I started the fifth Star Trek movie and had dessert then cleaned up and made broth with the carcass.
